Dear AYCA, As I am certain you're aware, Frogger is one of the greatest arcade games of all time. Lately I picked up a coin operated Frogger game by a pizza joint and also would love to move the game. Because you provide free shipping and let your clients change their games every month, I understood that you would be a specialist on arcade logistics. The problem is that I have the high score and do not wish to unplug it. Is there a way to maneuver the game without losing my position as the best toad of all time? Sincerely, George C. from New York
Dear George,
Believe it or not, this very question led to the creation of our pop-up arcade. The good news is you can in fact move a game with the energy on. So as to do this, you're going to need a car battery, a battery charger and a transformer to convert your electricity to 110 v a/c.
When we first tried this, we were able to conduct Frogger for about 6 hours before the match started to reset on us, so you could probably get it across town. When we hooked up another match to our apparatus in precisely the same time, it merely made it 45 minutes before crashing, so the quantity of ampage drawn will increase or reduce your outcome dramatically.
In order to run our outside popup arcade with 7 matches inside, we use a mix of electronic arcades and non-electronic ones, powered by a generator. The
generator won't
soft play equipment nice with each monitor, therefore it restricts which games could be contained. Due to our large collection, we've managed to collect an awesome compilation of titles.
The good thing is that there doesn't seem to be a way of linking a self contained power unit such as the one that we created to a game that is currently electrified without interrupting the present. It'd be interesting to hear from those with an electrical background on thoughts , but without being able to transfer from one power source to a different, I do not think it will be possible to save your score.
